No. Darkness describes visible light transmission, while heat rejection depends on the film construction and glass. A lighter ceramic film can be a useful choice when you want comfort without a very dark appearance. Compare the exact product and shade.

What does the tint percentage mean?

Visible Light Transmission (VLT) is the amount of visible light that passes through. Lower numbers look darker. The finished glass and film combination can measure darker than the film alone.

Do you offer mobile automotive tinting?

What warranty is included?

All automotive film options except 3M Dyed include a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading, and installation defects. 3M Dyed includes a one-year warranty. Confirm the applicable written coverage with your quote.

Can I get a quote without knowing which film I want?

Will window film provide privacy at night?

Accepted Answer

Reflective solar films generally provide privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. That effect can reverse after dark. Use blinds or a suitable opaque or decorative film when privacy is needed regardless of lighting.

Will film stop all interior fading?

Accepted Answer

No. Suitable film can reduce UV exposure and some contributing heat, but visible light, material age and other factors can still cause fading. It helps protect an interior; it cannot make it fade-proof.
